I guess I've always wanted to be a broadcaster. My 1st recollection of music on the radio was...well, I'll let you figure out the year. I was listening to a singer the announcer said was Perry Como. The song was Mona Lisa. I had no idea who this Perry Como dude was and what in the world was "Mona Lisa?" I remember asking my mom how the singer and orchestra got into the radio in the 1st place. She told me to ask my dad! Well, dad explained that they weren't really IN the radio but the announcer was playing a record. Fine, but, how in the world did that announcer guy fit in that radio with the record machine? I, obviously, figured it all out and the 1st time I played this Perry Como tune on a "Music of Your Life" station, these memories came back. What a blast from the past!
